Lafarge Corporation and the city of Sugar Creek, Missouri, entered into a lease agreement in October 1998. Lafarge then contracted with Dunn Industrial Group, Inc. (DIG) to design and build a new cement plant. Their contract contained an arbitration clause, and the parties agreed to an October 2000 change order. DIG's parent company, Dunn Industries, Inc. (Dunn), signed a contract guaranteeing DIG's performance of its obligations under the construction contract with Lafarge. Litigation followed disputes, and in March 2001, DIG filed three mechanic's lien claims against the property then sued Lafarge and the city to foreclose these lien claims. Lafarge filed a motion to stay litigation and compel arbitration, while Dunn and DIG sought to stay arbitration. The court overruled Lafarge's motions to compel arbitration and stay litigation and sustained Dunn and DIG's motion to stay arbitration. Lafarge appeals.
